Random, because I don’t even know what we’re going to do tomorrow.
No matter what, we’re going to have a LOT of fun :)
Now, excuse me. I’m going to amuse myself…
It happened to me recently.”
Yesterday—after 7+ weeks of daily blog posts in a row—I slipped (and missed the deadline). I could list numerous excuses.
To what end?
Let’s not sugarcoat things here, or distract from my mistakes.
I messed it up.
And, now, I want to make up for it. Since learning from other people’s mistakes can shortcut your own progress, I invite you to learn from my mistakes.
Here’s the lesson:
No matter what, don’t break the chain. Don’t slip. It is the easy, comfortable way to go. Resisting the temptation is hard. A daily struggle to maintain a productive habit. And yet, so rewarding.
P. S. If you really care about something, take daily action. And, if you’ll ever miss a day (like I did yesterday) …don’t use it as an excuse; go straight back into where you left off—and keep taking action.
P. P. S. I wrote this in a half-sober state after way too many drinks yesterday, so no excuses left for you. Sorry :)
Wayne Huizenga once said,
Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen.”
Honestly, I don’t care if you do…
…And here’s why:
It doesn’t change my reality.
I believe—with 110% belief—that “getting up every morning and making it happen” is the key to success. (Of course, some other aspects too!)
Whatever success means TO YOU.
Success to you may mean:
Or, something else.
But I don’t want to push my thoughts on you, let alone push you in ANY direction whatsoever. Much, much rather the 180 degree contrary.
Plus, it doesn’t matter.
What matters is that you live your life the fucking way you want to live it.
There always is.
You can sell stuff by either deceiving people OR by adding value to their lives.
You can either force others to obey you OR make them want to support you.
You can either push OR pull.
You can either try hard to impress girls OR make ’em qualify to you (i.e., become the selector …NOT the selectee!).
I understand. You get it.
The choice is, as always, yours.
